The pretty calico she-cat watched silently as Kestrelclaw picked up the badger all on his own, a spark of admiration flashed briefly through her, "Don't strain yourself," Autumn murmured quietly, her tail grazing the terrain below her as it flicked lazily along the ground. Her soft emerald green eyes glinted in the sunlight as she shifted her gaze to Wasp-paw, "You heard him, go and catch some prey for the elders and bring something to Whitestar too," she meowed nonchalantly. To make sure there wasn't any rude come-backs she glared down at her for a moment but it wasn't in hatred then Autumn lightly brushed her tail tip on the apprentice's ear before turning away from her.

The she-warrior gazed placidly at the tomcat, a smile almost flickering upon her lips but she forced it away, there no need to smile now. A badger had just been brutally murdered and Kestralclaw was right-- they needed to warn the Clan.

Autumn's glowing green eyes flew to Novawish, wondering what the ShadowClan deputy was going to do now but she didn't ask aloud. She blinked at her in an innocently curious way before lifted her gaze so that it was now of Kestralclaw once more. Suddenly she felt a glimmer of bewilderment, this warrior hadn't said anything about her after she sternly told Wasp-paw off... her tumble of emotions must have been obvious from his view since she had been facing him at the time. Well, she might as well be grateful he didn't make a big deal out of it.

After gazing at him for a moment she had to look away-- he had once been a rouge correct? Even though he had only been a kit but still it ran in his veins. Suddenly, Autumn had the urgent wave of wanting to ask him a certain nagging question. How could he put up with the taunts of having blood that wasn't "pure?" Maybe when they were alone she could ask him...? But what would he say? Would he even answer her?

The calico's mind whirled for a moment before she straightened her posture and swept her penetrating green gaze over her surroundings-- as if she was looking for any other possible threat.

She would never know what Kestralclaw would say unless she spoke first.

Wasppaw watched for a moment before dropping the badger. "Fine. I guess that idea's better than going to camp or hanging around a bunch of wanna be warriors like yourselves." she then shot Kestralclaw a look of slight gratetude. He had let her go on her own. He was letting her go on her own. She turned to pad away proudly into the trees but her gaze rested on Novawish. She just had to get one more remark in. "You just gonna stand there like a blind badger or you gonna help these two?" she growled, hatred for the way the deputy had talked to her like a kit before still flaring within her. She then padded past, her tail high, into the surronding trees. With one last unsure glance toward the cats, she was gone.

Soon, she regretted what to say. It was horrible, now that she thought again. But then again, if she apologized or did any thing good enough have worthy... well, that was the thing. One act, one person, one moment—that’d change what Novawish was. Still she had to do something. The choices were held out.
She gulped, thinking blank as if in a dream. She was a natural quick thinker but emotions were complicated. She zoomed out, as if that would help.

The forest held stillness to the land, silence and peace. The breeze seemed chillier than before, brushing through her hairs. The sun poking through the escape of the pines. Her paws felt sweaty.
It felt right to apologize. Yet it felt “bad” in the new good way to not apologize. Which. What. Ding.

'Fine then. Go and hunt or something with your mentor, or alone if you prefer. Autumn and I will return to the camp and warn the others. Return when you please.

They too. How long has it been—zoomed out? She blinked her eyes steadily, clearly dizzy. It’s been a while since she ate. This was supposedly a hunting trip, wasn’t it? From the start? Before the badger came?

"You just gonna stand there like a blind badger or you gonna help these two?"

No. ”Wasppaw,” She murmured, her voice soft and low, no longer in the mimicking voice. This was her true voice. Too late.
She wasn’t exactly was going to apologize. She understood or guessed what was inside of Wasppaw. It was her father, wasn’t it?

A quick memory stirred inside her head. A story. A long-past down tale, about the first two cats ever. [adam and eve’s story—I’m just going to say that it’s a “story” among the warriors since it fit nicely well =)] The she-cat had a choice; to eat the sacred fruit or not. She chose the wrong one, leading them kicked out of the lands with the stars neighboring them, to the land down and down, where she is standing now. That was it. She heard her father’s voice afar but strong, “Girls shouldn’t be trusted to make choices. It isn’t healthy for them.”

Anger and sadness grew inside her heart, but she controlled it. She wouldn’t let them. If the emotions were to, she’d become 5 moons again. No matter how long or how much you’ve matured, when you’re engulfed in them, you’re 5 moons again. Not now for sure.
The badger was almost buried—and she indeed had helped burring the badger. At least the blood was covered. Obviously, Kestrelclaw and Autumn could finish it, right? She trusted them.

Her voice held hope now, still soft and low. ”I’m going to follow Wasppaw. Maybe our first lesson. Gonna talk to her. I know that you guys are enough for the badger.”
Her eyes shined as she nodded. Lots of things had changed over the past moments.

{Hey, Novawish is going to tag along Wasppaw to hunt, maybe. I think it'd turn out pretty interesting. ^__^ will that be a new thread or still here, if you'd agree? }

Also Moony, the Adam & Eve part was cool! Out of complete randomness, we can make the badger be the snake instead x3

As well, Amber, I loved your post! It was so poetic and whimsical! Kestrelclaw was a rogue once, but he never actually admits it. He's too proud... -___-' StarClan, bless him and his agonizing haughtyness... So anyways, I guess its gonna take more than a question for Autumn to find out.

Lol Bhu, Wasp-paw's retorts are so funny, in spite of how hurtful they can be. I'm a fan of mockery. x]

I think we should start a new thread, once everything with the badger is over. Like finish burying him and stuff. Then start a new thread, like if Autumn and Kestrelclaw wanted to talk to each other and maybe warn the clan since that's necessary.
Also I've noticed Whitestar haven't been very active. I'm gonna try to email her today.

For me, I want to start a new thread with Bhuvana, so Novawish can stalk tag Wasppaw to talk and settle things. Then later hunt or have a lesson. =)
