Serenechaos sighed, blinking away sleep a few times. It was almost Moonrise, and she hadn't slept for three dawns now. For some reason the she-cat couldn't seem to find sleep, insomnia was getting to her. The medicine cat was tired, just unable to sleep. Did StarClan have something to tell her? Was she on the verge of figuring out something that could mean life of death? Serenechaos didn't know, and frankly, she wished something would happen. She lay down in her mossy nest near the back of her den and tried to go to sleep, it didn't work. Serenechaos stood up shakily and lapped some water off of a leaf. She busied herself by sorting herbs, well actually, restacking the herbs and resorting them. It seemed odd, but there was nothing better to do, at all.

xx; Silence. Serenechaos slowly turned around and emerged from her deep thoughts at the sound of Rosethorn's voice. At first it seemed distant and far away, then her senses rushed back to reality. The medicine cat padded a step or two towards Rosethorn and looked at the deputy's beautiful green eyes. Reflected in them was the exhausted image of Serenechaos, but once looked into, was something wonderful. Serenechaos saw hope, love, loyalty, and a great future, those were only a few of the many traits and gifts Rosethorn possessed. The she-cat blinked, "I could give you some poppyseeds if you'd like." Her voice cracked with weariness. "I've been unable to sleep as well." It was strange to think that both were unable to sleep.</sup>

ic; Serenechaos was aware of Rosethorn's beautiful turquiouse eyes watching her every move. It unsettled her, but she dealt with it anyway. Every small step she took, Serenechaos's bones would crack and she winced at the noise. For some odd reason, Serenechaos despised the sound of a cracking bone. Maybe it was because when she was a kit she popped her ankle. The previous medicine cat had to pop it back into place and ever since then, Serenechaos hated that noise.

Serenechaos felt an odd connection to Rosethorn even though they didn't speak much. That was good, in a way, that meant Rosethorn stayed healthy. She looked over to the deputy when she spoke. "Do you want them, or not?" She snapped angrily. Serenechaos sighed, mad at herself for over-reacting, "I'm sorry, Rosethorn, I'm letting all of this sleepiness getting to me. Are you unable to sleep or are you just tired?" Serenechaos mewed sofly.

"Oh, Rosethorn, I would appreciate that, but first, are you sure you don't need them?" Serenechaos mewed kindly, flicking her tail every once in a while. The medicine cat grabbed a leaf with a pawful of poppyseeds and set them down at Rosethorn's feet. She stepped sideways to her soft, mossy, nest and curled up. "Stay if you'd like. You can sleep here if you want." Serenechaos yawned, revealing long, pointed teeth.</sub>

[/b] She meowed calmly. Her white feather like tail hung low behind her dusting the floor beneath it, turning it a shade of grey. Moments later she found herself nodding. "Yes, of course I am sure, I just think I needed to get out of that den, and I saw you were up." She meowed. Even so she separated some of the poppy seeds from the rest and licked them up, she swallowed them then stood up straight, listening. She could hear nothing but the hooting of an owl and so she relaxed again. Going into the corner of the den she picked up a few scraps of moss and added them on to Serenechaos's nest and circled a few times before curling up next to her. "Try you're best to get some sleep, you never know what might happen tomorrow after all, if you have something on you're mind I wont be asleep for a while, goodnight." She meowed before bringing her tail around and resting is over her pale pink nose. Her breathing became more steady as she began to settle herself down in a different set of surroundings. [/size][/ul]
