The ThunderClan leader sat in her den, examining her paws. She had been looking at the steady downpour of rain outside for atleast an hour. She didn't want to look at it anymore. It upset her, looking out on the rain that soaked your fur, that soaked your heart, melting it. Froststar shuffled her paws, and her beautiful blue gaze flickered upwards and she wondered over to her nest and sat on the warm, comforting moss that an apprentice had changed earlier that day.
Now the day was growing old, and the blackness was avenging on the light, crawling deep over the sky. The only comfort was usually StarClan's warriors, their caring glow shining over the forest. But tonight the stars were not out, and the whole of ThunderClan seemed to be overfilling with the shadows. Instead, dark gray, heavy-with-rain clouds blocked the stars warming glow, and not even the moon was out, also shining brightly over the territory.
Froststar was quite happy to remain alone, but knew she wouldn't be for long. She didn't really care, anyway. It wasn't the end of the world. It would be nice to have at least a little of company, like for example, her faithful deputy, Drizzlesong. She always had the leaders back. Drizzlesong would make a great leader, one day. And that was for sure.
[Oooo, that was my first post with Froststar!!! Private post. Winter/Drizzle, please reply]

The rain cascading from the sky mercilessly tormented Drizzlesong's pelt as the femcat paraded to her leader's den. In spite of the weather, she felt blitheful. There had been days when the climate was even worse and the sound of the rain hurling her jacket was melodious. Her sleek body coasted into the mangle of plants Froststar was refuged in. Once Drizzlesong was in, her aroma, plus the one of recently caught prey filled the air. It later coalesced with the aroma of moist grass and soil, an effect of the rain. The three freighted her nose, molding a grin on her face. What could e more soothing than this moment?
Once the rain no longer harrassed her keister, Drizzlesong was already deep in the leader's den. As an old tradition, she curtly dipped her head respectfully to her leader. But, as a deputy, the dip was much more extensive. 'Good evening' the she-cat's frigid and unyielding voice spoke. She dropped one of the animals she had caught in front of Froststar. The rabbit was in perfect condition; barely any bones to disturb Froststar while chewing and the precise amout of blood to muse on. The mouse Drizzlestar had was also ambrosial, but not as much as the one she had reserved for Froststar. Her tail slavered, telling Froststar to start the honors of eating.
The present Drizzlestar gave Froststar was a sign that the prey was going well. After her salute, the young deputy did not speak much. It was pretty much how her relationship with Froststar functioned. Froststar talked about her personal issues and the affairs of the clans to Drizzlestar, while she remained silent and simply listened. Then, she'd give Froststar advice and assist her when it came to solve her problems. Froststar's character made her the perfect leader; Drizzlestar's personality made her the perfect deputy but nearly-perfect leader {never as much as Froststar}. The team these two she-cats did was inexpressible flawless. As it was obvious for her to do, she kept silent and waited for Froststar to speak.

Froststar looked up when she scented her deputy. Her blue gaze was fixed on Drizzlesong as the deputy dipped her head to her. Froststar mewed a greeting. 'Good evening to you too, Drizzlesong.' She purred. 'It is disgusting weather, but at least it will give the forest some growth. I've hardly seen any flowers this last moon.' Her ears pricked as Drizzlesong set the rabbit down for Froststar to eat.
The ThunderClan leader muttered a quick 'Thank you.' Then pulled the rabbit closer to herself. Lying down, she took a bite out of the rabbit. She had meant to go and fetch a piece of fresh-kill for herself earlier, but the weather was so miserable she didn't want to. Tucking thankfully into her rabbit, she lapped her tounge around her jaws then looked up at her deputy. 'Say, Drizzlesong, do you think the camp's protection could be... well, more improved? I'm just thinking what would happen if foxes or badgers took advantage of our number of cats at the moment.' Froststar was concerned. Sometimes, she did get a little overprotective.

Drizzlesong nodded. 'Yes, protection should be increased. But we have a limitation. Many of our warriors are already centered in hunting, for these times have been harsh, and Leafbare has left us all prey-less. Sending other warriors to protect the clan would reduce of opportunities of replenishing our supplies and, as the increasing population of the clan approximates, not enough food could be an issue.'
The femcat glared with ecstasy at Froststar, who seemed to be enjoying her present. Yet security was indeed a problem to be solved. 'I will venture with other deputies from other clans and perhaps I can divine a solution for this thorny problem. I will have my answer in less than two days, I'd wager.' Drizzlesong's eyes wandered aimlessly into her paws. 'So, how is the locus of existence?' she asked, beginning a new topic. In other words, she had just asked, 'So how's life?'

Froststar nodded. 'Very well. But don't ask ShadowClan. You won't get anything from them, thats for sure.' One side of her mouth quirked. 'Life is great, at the moment, thank you, Drizzlesong. If only we could have more prey. StarClan would be loved by this clan forever.' 'Anyway.' She turned her head to the roof of the den. 'Until StarClan grants us more prey, we should make sure the borders are frequently marked and checked.'
She turned her head back to look at her deputy with questioning blue eyes. 'So, how are you at the moment? Is all well?'
[Sorry it was kinda short..]

ic; Drizzlesong did not startle by the question. She would do the same thing she did. She would epitomize her recent life events to the most abstract and superficial way possible. Then, when her tale could not be more reduced, she would listen to Froststar's narration of events. Drizzlesong could not admire Froststar more and a pleasant time with her was always phenomenal. Of course, it was always phenomenal the tranquil way they spoke. That made Froststar and Drizzlesong a pretty good team. 'Not much, just patrolling the borders and taking care of the camp. I can not say much. I am not very interested in toms or such.' She concluded with grace.
However, these days, something was affrighting Drizzlesong. Froststar had not been mistaken when she had judged the borders and their protections. The she-cat had had several suspisions after some events that had made her doubtfult, yet she did not know how to explain it to Froststar. Depriving Froststar from the oportunity of answering, Drizzlesong kept talking. 'Froststar, would you like to diverge by our borders with RiverClan? There is something I am sure you'll be interested in knowing...'
ooc; Ah its okay, so was this one. The muse has been low...

Froststar blinked. 'Yes, of course.' She mewed. What had happened? Her neck fur bristled, and the ThunderClan leader's ears twitched. 'It isn't anything bad, is it?' [Sorry, I have to go. I'll continue with this later.]

ic; Drizzlestar cringed, for the news were not good, and dissappointing Froststar was not pleasant. 'Well Froststar' the femcat began. 'We have an issue on our border with WindClan. Not long ago, a hunting patrol I organized found a kitten. Something peculiar about this kit was that he subsumed in combined fragrances. Not only from WindClan, but also from other clans, and the scent of human cat food was still prevailing in his pelt. The problem with this kit is that we do not know weather he is a trick from another clan or an innocent kit. I have fed him recently because he looks very frail, but he is very demure. Unlike many other kits, he is bashful and the most anti social cat I have ever met. I suggest that other warriors come with us and I'm rather anxious to show him to you, so you can determine his destiny.'
ooc; Kk, so Destiny and Butterfly, you can start posting now! The plan is for Lilywhisker an Wolfhowl to appear in this scene and later re-appear in a new thread we will create in WindClan's border. They will meet Timberkit there ^_^

.x.L I L Y W H I S K E R.x.
From deep in the warriors den Lilywhisker slept, her eyes closed and her tail laid gently across her nose so that it didn't become to cold. A cold rush of wind whisked by her and she started to rise, the stars twinkling and rushing around her body as it landed on a puffy cloud. Shaking her head she stood, in a sort of daze.
Steadying herself on her paws she opened her eyes to find herself in a meadow of flowers. Her lips spread into a happy grin as she lept forward, bounding around without any care in the world what-so-ever. Nearing a hollow tree however she halted, tilting her head to the side at the sound of meowing, coming from behind her. Slowly her head turned and spotted a pair of icy blue eyes staring at her, silver flecks in the felines eyes sparkling like the stars above.
Not able to see the other cats description she stepped forward and found herself falling through the air. The cat following until nearing the edge of the clouds where she stopped, allowing Lilywhisker to fall without even lifting a paw. WIth a start the tortishell warrior awoke, her breathing rapid, chest heaving out and in at a rate far past the normal.
Concetrating for a minute she steadied her breathing she a chill went up her spine as she slowly rose from the ground and hurridly headed out of the den. Once in the sunlight she closed her eyes, blinking a couple of times and allowing her pupils to adjust to the light change before starting toward the fresh kill pile. Sensitive ears were forward on her head, but hearing a conversation nearby she quickly tuned in, her curiousity getting the better of her,
"Well Froststar"
Quickly Lilywhisker recognized the voice of Thunderclans deputy, Drizzlesong, and interest sparked in her imagination at what the higher ranked warrior had to say,
"'We have an issue on our border with WindClan. Not long ago, a hunting patrol I organized found a kitten. Something peculiar about this kit was that he subsumed in combined fragrances. Not only from WindClan, but also from other clans, and the scent of human cat food was still prevailing in his pelt. Unlike many other kits, he is bashful and the most anti social cat I have ever met. I suggest that other warriors come with us and I'm rather anxious to show him to you, so you can determine his destiny.'"
Hmmm...
-->the she-cat thought to herself,
That sounds very interesting...
-->Not able to contain herself any longer the feminine figure traced her steps back over to Drizzlesong and Froststar, hoping quietly to herself that she didn't get in trouble for poking her nose into their business.
"I couldn't help but overhear but did you say that he had the scents of all four clans on him?
Asking Drizzlesong, seeing as she was the one giving out the information, the meal that Lilywhisker had origionally was going to get earlier was clearly forgotten.Thinking back to her dream she couldn't help but wonder if the cat in the bushes had anything to do with the kit, or if it had something to do with something else. It was possible...right?

The scent of vole overwhelmed the tomcat, pouring into his senses and bathing him with delight. He dug his sharp teeth into the flesh of the creature, tearing at it so that he could chew it properly. Digging his claws into its skull and flank, he steadied it so that he could dig deeper down, but just before his teeth punctured his prey's body for another bite he heard the sound of rustling leaves and saw Lilywhisker padding into the clearing. He angled his ears farther forward on his forehead, and his pale blue eyes watched her every movement. When she padded over to their leader and deputy, curiousity overcame the usually so emotionless tom. Lately he'd been feeling a lot better, less depressed and more open to the world, and now this showed by his getting to his paws and padding to see what was happening. He arrived just in time to hear Lilywhisker mention something about Clan scents. He had recalled overhearing something about a kit, but Wolfhowl hadn't listened much more since he did not want to be labled an evesdropper by his betters. He dipped his head respectfully as he stood beside Lilywhisker.
"Greetings. I also am curious to know of this kit's strangeness." He meowed thoughtfully, his eyes penetrating into his leader's for a moment, then searching the earth for something only his mind could think of. He flexed his claws and a shadow passed over his eyes. A mere kit? Left where, though? He thought. He looked up again and the same expressionless but determined eyes fixed themselves this time on Drizzlesong.

The ThunderClan leader looked shocked as her deputy mentioned a kit from the three other clans. Strange... She thought, just as she looked up as Lilywhisker entered the den, followed by Wolfhowl. Her gaze drifted back to Drizzlesong. 'I'd like to see this kit for myself before I make any desicions. Where is he?'
It was strange that the kit had lived in all the clans, and that made Froststar suspicious. She leant into Drizzlesong. 'Could it be a trap?' She whispered to her deputy, blue eyes round and trusting. Froststar had never been one to be a worry, but she was concerned for her clan's safety. Strange things were happening, and now, the kit...
It was starting to add up to the bigger picture.[/size]
