Cirruscloud limped the whole way back to the edge of the camp. Hopefully, Breeze didn't follow her all the way here, because then she would surely be in trouble. She licked her wound until it was wet with saliva and padded slowly to the camp. I can trust my clan. I was accepted here, even though I was a loner, but I was accepted here. This is my family now. Her heartache was getting worse. She couldn't mention 'family', 'sister', or even anything that had something to do with 'silver' or 'ripple'. This clan was the last thing she had. Her sister (if she was still alive, but Cirruscloud doubted it) maybe the only family she had. Family...Cirruscloud cringed. She could walk no further. Breeze will get here. She's my new friend. She'll help me. Starclan will too...

Breeze had stopped following Cirruscloud when the scents of other cats had started to find themselves in her nose. Carefully she slinked downwind and approached the camp carefully. These cats seemed more stelthy, seeing as they had no cover. It was a smart approach for her, with thought behind her every move. She now crouched over a rather large hill, poising on the edge, looking over a slightly sandy clearing. It looked like the Wind mobs home. A few cats lingered in the clearing, some talking, others eating. Silently, Breeze thanked her mother and father for once for her protective coloring and ability to blend into the dead grass.
Mismatched eyes now searched each of the cats that lingered in the clearing. Experienced eyes watched for the white pelt of Cirruscloud most of all. A green and hazel eye watched as a small group of four cats joined together and headed out of 'camp'. Breeze smiled. These cats weren't stupid, but wouldn't it be easier for only two to go? That is, if they were patrolling...
Suddenly Breeze froze, she had finally spotted the white fluffball that had dragged her here. Cirruscloud... Breeze didn't know what to do. Not many cats were in camp, at least, not many that she could see. Still debating whether or not she should or could go down there, she just froze ridgid, her mind running frantically through all the options and outscomes. finally coming to a conclusion, Breeze relaxed. She would wait to see if Cirruscloud needed any help from her at all.

Cirruscloud relieved as the scent of Breeze began flowing through her nose. But, in a way she wished Breeze hadn't followed her. Surely her clanmates will find her? Well, Breeze is such a nice cat. I'm sure Windclan would accept her as just a normal cat like me! Cirruscloud's mind spinned with ideas, thoughts and memories - crazy ones, silly ones, joyful ones, sad ones. She decided that she won't be able to get back to the camp where the medicine cat is without Breezes help - or risk injuring the wound more.
She turned her head and called to Breeze, "Breeze!" She lashed her tail gratefully and mewed confusingly. "Why have you come to follow me? Perhaps you've came to help me?" The she-cat grinned. "Must be!" It may seem as she was happy, positive and grateful, but no cat can doubt the sadness in the white puffball's eyes.
Cirruscloud eagerly awaited Breeze's answer.

"Breeze! Why have you come to follow me? Perhaps you've came to help me? Must be!"
crap. and i thought i was doing a good job in hiding too! Breeze smiled and stood up fully, tortting down the hill to where Cirruscloud stood. Carfully, Breeze wedged herself between Cirruscloud, so that Cirruscloud could rest some of her wieght on Breeze and feel less pain that way. Worried, she twitched her ears and tail nervously, but only once. She hated place with too many cats, and this could very well be one of those places. oh, how I love being a loner. in truth, she had just not come in contact with large mobs of cats ever scince her childhood, on that faithful day she choose to... nevermind. Breeze pushed away the thought from her head and twisted her cranium to look ahead of her. They were nearing the camp, slowly but surely.
"I was worried about how you would fare off, alone and all."
Breeze's lower voice rang out clearly, piercing the wind all about them. If she was entering unfamiliar territory wiht unfamiliar cats, she did not want a ruckus and did not want a surprise. Breeze turned back again to smile at Cirruscloud as she pushed through the pain.

"Oh, Breeze! Thank you so much. I don't know how I can ever repay you for your kindness to me. Really, I've never met such a nice cat." Cirriscloud moved half-a-pawstep for every paw she put in front of her. Leaning against Breeze, she whispered into her ear, "Thank you. I really mean it. We may have only met for a couple of minutes, but it feels like we've been friends for moons already." She hesitated, and repeated again. "Thank you, Breeze. For all you've done - for me - in these few minutes."

Breeze smiled in pure delight. Never before had one cat held so much pride and joy in her, and it felt nice. She felt like she'd accomplished something. Maybe being around other cats awasn't so bad... but it could get to be a big wieght carry after awhile...
Breeze walked along slowly and calmly, taking her time and makeign sure she stood up tall with each step, to ease the pain for Cirruscloud. Looking out, she noted that they were nearing the mob- er, clan's 'campground'.
Your clan won't mind me, will they? I just want to make sure your ok, and then I'll be going on my way."

Cirruscloud smiled her gleeful smile back. She looks so pretty when she smiles...Yes, Breeze is a pretty cat. Cirruscloud felt jealous at that thought. Nobody ever told her she was pretty. Her mother never did either, too busy hunting and caring for three kits to think about that. Was she beautiful as she thought she was? Or was she as ugly as crowfood?
"Your clan won't mind me, will they? I just want to make sure you're ok, then I'll be on my way."
Cirruscloud nodded. At the edge of the camp, she touched noses with Breeze and licked a ear in thanks. "I'm very grateful for you to assist me here. I'll see you later." Sorrow filled Cirrucloud again. Would if Breeze couldn't find her again? Then she would just have to find her. This was a new feeling for the warrior. She's never had a friend before. Suddenly, she piped up without thinking, "Would you like to live with me...in Windclan?" Her eyes widened as she just realized what she had just said, and licked her chest fur rapidly in embarrassment.

"I'm very grateful for you to assist me here. I'll see you later."
Breeze smiled at Cirrusclouds thanks. It wasn't very often that she was thanked from another for somethign she's done. Of course, before wondering upon these lands, the only cats she had met were other freebirds... or, as these cats called them rouges and loners...
"Would you like to live with me...in Windclan?"
Cirruscloud seemed to spit out into the air, as an afterthought. Breeze stood, rooted to the ground in quite a stragne fashion. Here, between two choices both of strange yet definate outcomes. But why not walk the borderline, why not see the land and meet the clans before... she had suspected that these cats... well one of them would wish for her to join them... Her vocals lay dep within her larnyx, waiting for a decision to speak out and tell Cirruscloud. But her mind could not make up itself. After another moment of surely awkward silence, low, small vocals presented themselves.
"Thank you Cirruscloud for the offer... but I cant... It would never settle with me entirely, and soon I would probalby become very unpleasant to be with... My true happiness lies in roaming all lands freely."
Breeze paused at this statement, turning it over and over in her head. It was everything. Freedom was her life, and to bind herself to one part of land... to stick to only that land for the remainder of her life... she doubted she could enjoy it. It started with her family... how they all only protected themselves half the time. Her mother had tried... but with seven kits... it wasn't successful.
"But dont think that this is the last time we will meet, Cirruscloud. I have a tnedancy to roam aroudn everywhere at least once in awhile. and... If the place is pleasant, there's definately a big chance that I will return."
Breeze smiled again. Hopefully Cirruscloud would understand. she would return. There was no saying when, or how, but Breeze would find Cirruscloud again when fate would have it. And Breeze could tell that that time would somehow be soon.
And so Breeze turned presently, facing the direction of where she had come from before. It smelled fresh and new there, with fertile soil and young grass everywhere. Glancing back, she smiled one last time at Cirruscloud and blinked, then turned back to face her new exploring land. Relaxing, she stepped out and started walking along, slowly, yet gaining speed. When she glanced back, pausing from her lively walk, the 'campground' was barely visable over many hills and long grasses.

Watching Breeze go sadly, Cirruscloud called goodbye and headed back to the camp. You idiot, Cirruscloud! What were you thinking when you blurted that out?! You blabber-mouth, Cirruscloud! Her back turned away from her new friend as unpleasent thoughts roamed her mind, throwing away the happy things in her head into the very back of the "closet".
