FrostyCan I feel the light betray me?
Open my eyes so I can see.
I've been in darkness for so long,
I havn't heard any speak or song.
StarClan's mercy falling down like rain,
As it falls down I feel pure pain.
But I shouldn't worry, I won't die,
For I can spread my wings and fly.
Our day is not for a long while yet,
Have courage, and do not regret.
That you are as special as everyone around you,
The rain falls down, just like new.
And now that my story is almost done,
I'd like you to know that you can be the one.

That's right, our first very own contest. And it's about poetry! =)
Basically, you have to either find or make a poem about this site. Yes, this site, Warriors Wonderland. Simple, right?

What I want . . .- Something about this site or our newest skin, Rain.
- Site--Warriors Wonderland; not dark or depressing, but curious and adventurous.
- Skin-- "Starclan's mercy falling down like rain" If you can, I'd like you to include those words. I want it religious, not dark or sad, but rejoicing and thanking.
- Both--Make it "cutesy", not sounding like a smart writer with a "British accent" but natural, modern, and cute.
- If you can, I'd like the skin based poem more then the site's.
- Yes, you can either find a poem that's already written or you can make it your own.
- You may submit different poems more than once--post or PM.
- Size doesn't matter--I'm looking for around 7-14 lines, it can be real short, like a couplet but not too long.
More- The poem I'll pick will be everywhere, in our ads, most likely our side tables, and some various icons around the site. Yes, it's that important!
- The winner will get credits all over the front page and of course, bragging rights.
- I'd also like entries as soon as possible, I hope by June 3rd, where almost everything should be done in the site.
- Also, the reason for this, is that, I think a poem and various quotes from it will be very neat addition to the site. It's catchy, beautifully, written and poems are just so awesome. And I'm not much of a poet.

It's coming...
Falling from the starry night,
Starlight, starbright, what goes on tonight?
As we adventure out into the night,
Skimming across unwalked paths
Something mysterious, yet luring
Approaches
As delicate as a crystal,
As beautiful as the stars

To something new, unique,

There you go, I'm defiantly not the best poet, but a songwriter. Thanks for creating the contest, I had a blast working on it and don't expect winning.  But thats ok, I got the experience. |

Wow, what a great idea! I'd participate but I suck at poetry. Really, REALLY suck.
But I'm mostly posting because I know a person on a Role Playing forum {also of warriors} who writes amazing {abnormaly excellent} poems. Here's an example of her work {manipulated by me to create a sig}: [click here]
I can ask her to create a poem for us! She's called Lion but is currently nicknamed Destiny. Plus, she's a really good RPer, if I tell her about the site, maybe she'll join.
So, what do you say guys, should I invite Lion over? |

She broke her wrist collarbone so she might be low on activity.

Ouch, breaking wrists . . . yeah, typing, drawing, writing will be pretty difficult. I hope it gets better and usually, they do. =)

Thanks! now that I have some time... *cracks knuckles with some difficulty* let's do this thing! Can you hear it, softly falling?
Can you see it, shimmering through the air?
