As if the night didnt make the forest dark already. The pine trees that make Shadowclan dark stood beside him. a cool mid-night breeze ruffled his fur, and frogs leaped from lillypad to the next. his yellow eyes were staring at a darker figure ahead. his dark fur blended with the shadows, making his movements as naturual as the smoothly running river. blood streamed behind him as he unseathed his claws once more. The small creature ahead was now history....
as quickly as it had started, it ended. bloodclaw held the bird in his jaws, still not satisfied. the soft mud below him wrapped itself around his paw. he flexed his muscles as he pulled his paws from the marsh. he spotted solid ground. Bloodclaw jumped up and over the marsh. oof. a hard landing. he struck his paws into the dirt and buried his prey.
Ribbit--sqeek--tweet animals filled the shadowy forest, so did their sound. Bloodclaw now had coaght 3 peices of prey. 'one last' he kept whispering to himself, 'just one more mouse' there it was, the grey little creature was bent over a clump of grass. bloodclaw slid into hunter's position, moving with fluid grace. he tensed his muscles, his feet left the ground....CRACK! The small head lifted. bloodclaw landed. the mouse had gotten away. bloodclaw's eyes filled with rage, "Who goes there!"

Breeze tumbled out of the tree above the warrior. no sooner had she shifted weight than the tree limb had snapped and she had taken a tumble. the tom was not going to be very happy. waves of anger streatched out from his dark bodice and entered her plae sniffer. she didn't seem to belong in these woods, so very dark and almost seeming to turn away from the sunlight.
reagaining herself quickly, as it was her instict that had come with her travels, she hastily watched the tom silently, somehow feeling assessed. and so she relaxed, her mismatched pools staring the tom as he stared at her. not the friendliest of cats... but, he had been on a hunt. yet, he was collecting quite a lot of food... whatever. Breeze shook it away from the front of her mind.
and so she now sat, watching the dark tom calmly. it occured to her that he had asked a question. and so her gentle vocals pushed up through her larnyx to answer.
"Breeze."
one word stated all. her vocals stated it almost playfully, as though the question was not retorical. but her vocals has also been gruff, also stating to the tom that she knew what he was used to doing. oh god, what if he's one of those soft cats that open themselves up? for some reason, Breeze wasn't interested in meeting one of them cats today. she wanted a change. and this tom smelt like it. and so the tabby she-cat awaited the toms response.

Bloodclaw growled deeply. This was no clan cat, a rouge that certainly doesnt belong on this territory. Bloodclaw unseathed his claws. pools of blood dripped from his claws. 'calm down, she obviously isnt hurting anyone.' but instead of listeniing to instinct, Bloodclaw decided to play with the she-cat. "Oh?" he growled, "and what are you doing here? trying to steel our prey?" As if disagreeing with him, darkness flooded the forest even more, making bloodclaw one with the shadows. only his bright stick blood and his angry yellow eyes showed his existance.
This cat intrigued him. This cat was not your every day cat. She was to bold, too confident that bloodclaw was not a threat. Even though bloodlcaw didnt feel too threatened, he kept his ground.

the femme watched the tom unshelthe his claws. and as that happened, the forest seemed to darken itself even further. his outline was barely visable now, his yellow eyes seeming not apart of him anymore. he reminded her so much of her brothers. they were hungry for power. but he was different. he was on defense. my brother would have attacked by now. and, he would have probably come close to dying... her brother was action thirsty, and often had picked fights with any old cat. at least this cat has a reason to be angry.
"Oh, and what are you doing here? trying to steel our prey?"
the tom growled these words. yeah, he's definately defending something. our? he must be a mob cat... and then she noticed the blood on his claws. it seemed to stay on them, not drip off as with other cats paws. or perhaps it was the way he killed his prey that kept the blood clinging. mismatched eyes watched the cats face again. it was time for her to respond.
"Why would I need to steal your prey? The land stretches farther than this area, and prey runs over every part. And you have enough to share."
at this she paused and nodded toward the tom's pile of prey. three pieces would fill her up for a day, perhaps a little more than a day. she didn't understand why he was so tight about food. it was Summer as well. and Summer meant tons of food. why is he so stingy? waving this thought away, her gentle-but-still-somewhat-gruff vocals sounded again, this time throwing a quiestion the tom's direction.
"Relax. I don't bite. And I never caught your name. What do you call yourself?"
Breeze paused, her swirly tabby coat seeming to soak up the moonlight. Her coat was relatively visable compared to the tom across form her. her white-ringed tail gently waved in the little wind of the night.

Bloodclaw relaxed. This cat had no clue. he growled, ready to slit her neck, "This, enough to feed my clan!? There is never enough prey here to support my whole clan, the kits, the queens! then we have apprentices and medicine cats to worry about. not to mention our warriors and our leader! but you wouldnt know about that! your just a lonely sad ball of fur!" his hiss penetrated the silent forest. "you are in our territory, i have all the reason to think you are a threat. or stealing prey." He looked at his claws, "and you should call yourself luck your not bleeding and dying on the forest floor right now. Unlike you i follow a code. one that i will always protect with my life. even if i felt the need to kill you, i would just bring you back to camp." Bloodclaw stared at the she-cat. it was as if she was studying him. "i was given the name bloodclaw. If i ever become leader.." though he highly doubted it.."i will be bloodstar." he looked at the cat. "i have no need to know yours. i will call you just a tresspassing rouge." he growled, "and im afraid that if you dont leave peacefully i will have to chase you out."

before the question had popped out of her mouth the tom was off, going on and on about his clan and life. Breeze found herself listening, but it all really made no sense. of course, mob cats aren't solitary nor do they live in pairs...
"This, enough to feed my clan!? There is never enough prey here to support my whole clan, the kits, the queens! then we have apprentices and medicine cats to worry about. not to mention our warriors and our leader! but you wouldnt know about that! your just a lonely sad ball of fur!"
so, he's not just really hungry?the tabby she-cat paused, taking in all the tom had just vocalized. and anyways, it seems all those cats, except for the kits and queens, seem able to get themselves food. or perhaps their just lazy. Breeze was about to make her opinion known, but the tom continued.
"you are in our territory, i have all the reason to think you are a threat. or stealing prey."
again with the whole territory thing. there is plenty of land to go around, yet apperently his thick head manages not to see so.
"and you should call yourself luck your not bleeding and dying on the forest floor right now. Unlike you i follow a code. one that i will always protect with my life. even if i felt the need to kill you, i would just bring you back to camp."
i wonder why that is. to show off he can capture another cat? to make himself seem tougher and show himself off to the she-cats of his mob? Breeze found her mismatched eyes rolling over at this thought. and yet she was having fun.
"i was given the name bloodclaw. If i ever become leader... i will be bloodstar. i have no need to know yours. i will call you just a tresspassing rouge. and im afraid that if you dont leave peacefully i will have to chase you out."
bloodclaw? i can see that. the blood glinted on the tom's claws as he spoke his name, almost as if the world was warning her to stay away from him. yet something about how he delt with her was intriging. most cats would have relaxed right now, seeing as she wasn't presenting herself as a threat. but he was still on gaurd, watching and waiting. and so Breeze spoke again.
"Call me what you want. Your mob ways are different from mine, which I can understand. What I don't understand is , well..." Breeze trailed off, her eyes straying from Bloodclaw for only a moment. And then she was watching him again, and she finished her sentence. "Why do you want me to leave so badly?"
ooc: sorry for the lag in posting. i was in kentucky for a few days, camping.

ooc: thats alright! ^__^ breeze really likes getting on bloodlcaw's nerves He sighed, "you will never understand the ways of a clan. Queens or mothers cant hunt they are nursing kits! we leave the kits who knows what will happen! Eleders can not hunt. they are old. Medicine cats can not hunt they are to busy healing injured and the injured cant hunt for obvious reasons. you would never understand. We dod not have enough land at all. you are only on one fourth of all the land! right now your on ours, shadowclan. you must be thinking that this whole forest, river, moorland is ours. never. We share an equal 4th of the land with thunderckan, Riverclan, And Windclan." He sneered at the cat, "and i know what you think! that we are lazy. We live our life to protect our clan! we die for our clan! we work eevery moment of our lives" he sighed once more, "I want you to leave" he mewed, "for many reasons, few i will tell. one is that i cant let you get dependant on our only food source. also you being here will attract other rouges and loner making them beleive we are easy. I will tell you another. no matter how unthreatful you are, your on our territory and it is where we raise our young, and keep others safe. I wil ltell you one other. you thick minded, and i would rather not have to deal with this non-sense." he growled, "so i suggest you leave or have your pelt ripped into shreds."
Now a pool of glistining scarlet blood stood below him. his eyes brought him visions of the only cat he beleives will help him. the white kit with blue spots entered his dreams often. Usually confused sad, scared. His powerful blue eyes stare. only one thing resembles bloodclaw. his claws. the large claws are stumbled over. Thus the reason he was named tumblekit. The cat entered again. more confused than ever. Though there was peace in his eyes. peace Bloosclaw opened his eyes from the blink.

well, duh queens and kits cant hunt. but as long as cats aren't hurt a medicine cat could hunt. and if the cats were hurt, how much could one cat possibly eat? how much could a kit eat? queens do eat a lot, but with all the others, food seems... well, easy to get. another cat could grab them a quick something... the she-cat stood now, her haunches almsot growing lazy and tired with her wait. it had been the longest time she had ever sat still in one place. her vocals itched to defend her, but the tom went on.
"and i know what you think! that we are lazy. We live our life to protect our clan! we die for our clan! we work eevery moment of our lives. I want you to leave for many reasons, few i will tell. one is that i cant let you get dependant on our only food source. also you being here will attract other rouges and loner making them beleive we are easy. I wil ltell you one other. you thick minded, and i would rather not have to deal with this non-sense. so i suggest you leave or have your pelt ripped into shreds."
so very angry. finally Bloodclaw's words ceaced. and so Breeze spoke, defending and explaining at the same time.
"Bloodclaw, have you no idea how we loners are? We travel alone, rarely ever seeing each other. and if we do, its a full out battle, before names are even exchanged. At least you have cats that are able to care for you!"
Breeze paused. anger rarely ever came to her, and yelling was not one of her strong suits. and as she voiced, she rarely ever had to yell either. most loners she came across attacked on the spot. mob life seemed eaisier because you have more cats to protect you and help you. yet that was the reason she became a loner in the first place. she wanted to experience new things and roam freely. she wanted to meet other cas, whether it be in battle or not. she loved the life of a loner. and this one-track-minded tom dosn't see it that way. vocals spoke again, but calmer. and yet a challenge they presneted to Bloodclaw. this is a chance to see what mob cats are really like.
"I will leave... but first, show me what mob life is like, if it truely is so very hard."
ooc: i know. she's a little impulsive when it come to other cats. and bloodclaw is a lot different than others that she has met.

finally. he lowers his ground. Breeze sat proudly, her shoulders finding themselves with her smirk. slowly she stood, her musles taunt and findign their strength again. her mismatched eyes wanted a challenge, but apperently the tom wouldn't give her one. no matter. mob cats come in large groups, or else they wouldn't be called mob cats... would they?
"This isnt a mob, this is a clan. perhaps you dont know who we are? go ask thunderclan, just west of here. im in no mood to show you anything.."
and so it shall be, Bloodclaw. Breeze turned, the moonlight flashing in her eyes. but she was somewht surprised, deep underneath the layers of sarcasm that she hid herself within. of course, she had grown up speaking the language of rouges and loners, the language of decaeption. when she asked to be shown around a place, it was for her knowlegde alone, and no rouge would be stupid enough to accept it. but mob cats were different. no doubt clever, perhaps, or lazy. which seemed to be rather not. so Bloodclaw realized the value of his... clans information. smart move Bloodclaw. and now my turn.
"Then you have nothing to offer, and in return I will offer you nothing. Secrets we loners hold, sometimes good, sometimes bad. Deception is our life. But one thing is for certain among all felines who choose a path of single life, a debt is always paid."
and so Breeze turned, facing the northwest. her words rang with power and spoke of wisdom. one deed paid to a loner, and one deed shall be repaid to the giver. he spoke of western areas, in which another mob could be found. perhaps they would give insight to their strange ways.
"I leave you now. But do not forget these words Bloodclaw. Information and Deception are the lives that I and my breatheren lead. For your own sake, watch your tounge."
and then Breeze stepped into the darkness and headed toward... what did he call it? Thunderclan.
ooc: sorry, i made her seem super evil. i was listening to hoist the colors, and i came out with this... ech. i kinda think of her as unmasked for what she truely is, a loner and a rouge. somewhat of an outcast. *shrugs* lol

As if I don't know I don't belong here! The dark she-cat pelted through the night, away from the voices replaying in her head, telling her to go back, to stay away from them, that she'd never be a true ShadowClan warrior. It wasn't usually this bad. Why did they have to pick tonight to get scrappy on her? Do you think I don't know that? How can you be so thick skulled? Her lanky limbs stretched across the muddy ground, claws digging into the soil. Her breath came hard and fast as she raced through the thick midnight, through the pine needles, heart pounding in her chest, vast purple eyes not completley focused on her surroundings. She didn't know where she was going and didn't care, acting on instinct alone. But no matter how far she ran, no matter how dark it got, no matter how much distance she put between herself and her Clanmates, their stinging words burned into her mind, leaving behind scars that were so easy to open up, but at the same time so easy to hide. Untill now. She didn't want to take the hard stares, the unwelcoming grimaces as she walked into the clearing carrying freshkill. You'd think ShadowClan would have gotten over her being there, that they would at least accept her prescence. But as a kit she'd been taught that ShadowClan was difficult, and was especially hostile towords ThunderClan, (well, at least that's what the nursurey stories told her) which, naturally, she was from. Maybe if she'd been River- or WindClan born they would try to accept her with a bit more enthusiasum, but no. She had to be from ThunderClan! Suddendly, the she-cat halted in her running. A different smell reached her nose, a smell she'd been taught to recoil from since her ShadowClan apprenticeship. The smell was almost kind to her, in just the scent alone. Anything different from ShadowClan stench was welcome. But then she realized where her paws had instinctively carried her. The ThunderClan border. Immidiatley she skidded to a halt, blood running cold. Really? Honestly? Her nares widened and her purple gems flashed as she glared at her traitor paws, taking her to the one place that would only cause more trouble than she was already in with her Clanmates. But then she sighed sadly and simply closed her eyes, remembering the only two cats who had ever accepted her, been her friends. Her mother and brother. At least ThunderClan had been used to her odd eyes, but some had still recoiled. How did her leader possibly think that ShadowClan would accept her if ThunderClan had trouble with that? Opening her lavender gems and sitting down, she stared longingly across the border, waiting for her brother's comforting lick between her ears or her mother's scent to envelope her, to blank her mind if only for a moment, to be rid of ShadowClan's harsh words.
Just one moment.
But nothing came. It never did. I should have expected as much. The day that happens, I'll be a mouse! Even in her lonliest times, when her Clanmates all but killed her with their hard words, when she wanted to mew like a small kit but somehow kept herself from doing just that, eyes downcast, not one could comfort her. Sometimes she thought she smelt her mother's scent on the breeze, but then it would fade. Maybe even StarClan couldn't cross boundaries without trouble. The she-cat didn't blame her mother for any of this, even if she was the one that had led her to ShadowClan, that had chosen this path for her. Her mother simply had her best intention in mind when she did that, trying to be wise, but Berryfrost could have waited for a mentor! Still, her mother was not at fault. She herself was at fault, for being born. At least that's what she thought. Kneading her paws into the earth, she itched to cross the border. But she knew that ThunderClan didn't know about her ShadowClan problems, and they probably wouldn't take her back anyway, what with her mother dead, only one cat to defend her, to help her through the day. What am I talking about? That would have been better by far. But it would get me into an even deeper mess than I'm already in. I just want to be left alone. The she-cat sighed longingly, thinking of the life she'd never had, never would have. Then another thought interrupted her. Suppose one of her Clanmates caught her here, right at the edge of the ThunderClan border? Terror shot through her body and adrenaline coursed through her veins once again as she leapt to her paws and started quickly padding away. Perhaps what she needed was to hunt. Yes, that might help her. Glancing up into the sky, she saw the waxing crescent moon, nearly full. A Gathering would take place soon, but she knew she wouldn't be going. She was never picked. The silver light decked the emerald forest with a pale shine, outlining her pelt with with a ghostly gray color. For a heartbeat, she admired the pretty evergreen pine trees, just a heartbeat. But than the voices echoed louder and louder, untill she couldn't ignore them. 'Get out of here. You don't belong, you vile piece of fox-dung!' Berryfrost winced, put her head down, and pelted through the forest again, but not to the territory her heart called her to. Back to ShadowClan it was. After a long time running, the scents of blood, freshkill, rouge and ShadowClan hit her, all three at once. She halted abruptly and dodged stealthily behind a bush, keeping low to the ground. The ShadowClan warrior, Bloodclaw, was hissing out his insides, it seemed, as he overreacted to a simple rouge, a loner. She seemed to be amused by his anger, flicking her white-ringed tail and replying as calmly as can be. No cat talked to Bloodclaw like that. He hated everyone and everything, and though his grumpy mood was almost the norm for Berryfrost, she'd never seen him angry like this. He looked like he thirsted for a battle. She didn't want to get in the middle of it. He hated ThunderClan. Berryfrost didn't want any more trouble tonight. The she-cat turned around and tried to creep away, unnoticed, but she could hear that the loner had gone, and she herself had never been that good in getting away unnoticed. It seemed that everycat looked at her right as she tried to make her escape, not wanting their anger to end. She held her breath as her pawstep snapped a twig, straightened up and turned around to face Bloodclaw. She knew he'd hear her, and decided, what the heck, was one more cat breathing down her neck? Feeling oddly bold, she spoke directly to him, looking into his topaz eyes with her amethyst ones. Hello, Bloodclaw, she meowed cooly, tying to keep her fur flat. She knew he was so sour because of his name, (he thought cats wouldn't like him because of it, she could tell, though she herself didn't find anything wrong with it) and because of something ThunderClan had done to him when he was a kit. She didn't know the details, but she knew he despised ThunderClan because of that. She held her breath as she waited for his reply, if he chose to relpy at all. She sat down and curled her tail around her paws, waiting.

Icykit, a pure white she kit with black claws and flint blue eyes watched the undergrowth. She peered through to see three cats arguing. What mousebrains she thought to herself. They should be working together instead of fighting and arguing! Icykit sat down and got ready for them to talk some more. This would be interesting. Her icy blue eyes narrowed as she took in everything they were saying. From what she understood, Bloodclawwas kind of violent, had anger issues, and was very defensive of his Clan. Breeze, could be soft-spoken or gruff, but was a neutral loner that was very nonchalant, and Berryfrost had just entered this little 'scene.' Well, why don't I just join it? I always wanted to be part in a conversation of a little scrap with Clanners and Loners. Icykit stood and padded into the clearing, to the surprise of all of the other cats. The 4 moon old she-kit smiled and narrowed her eyes."Hello, you are Bloodclaw, Breeze, and Berryfrost, I have been watching you." Icykit sat down and crossed her paws, her ice-bye flint eyes scorching Bloodclaw's yellow one's.
" I, unlike many other cats, have killed loners and rogues for food, and I have lived on my own out here for a few moons. Icykit smiled to show sharp, white fangs that glimmered in the moonlight. Suddenly, a solar eclipse happened, turning every patch of white on the cats, including Icykit's pure white pelt, glowing white. Icykit looked wide-eyed at the moon. "I was just wondering if I could join your little 'chat' here, may I? Her eyes were now melted blue pools of pleading. Wow, I sure am putting on a show for them... Icykit thought. "Well? Please answer me!! I would like to speak with all of you!"
