Thornface was padding near the Leader's Den. She had been hoping to find her close friend, Drizzlesong, in the camp, but she could not find her den. The she-cat then kept aimlessly wandering and bumped into a twig. She tripped and smacked her head. "Stupid twig..." Thornface snarled and stood up again, hoping to find Froststar or Drizzlestar.

Emberpaw stretched, her spine unbending slowly. She smiled, knowing today would be a wonderful day. She'd been told to be optimistic, since she used to be all 'emo-grr' because of her mother. Emberpaw padded slowly towards, well, nowhere in particular and all of a sudden saw Thornface trip on a twig! The apprentice's eyes lit up with humor and she cracked up. Laughing so hard, Emberpaw practically crawled over to Thornface where she composed herself and looked at the clumsy warrior.
Are you ok, Thornface, that was quite a fall there." Emberpaw choked out sarcastically, struggling to keep a straight* face. Emberpaw flicked her tail and looked around camp out of habit. She licked a brown and tan paw and drew it to her face as she waited for Thornface to recover. ooc; sorry, no muse D: *unsure if that's the right way to spell word (ish having a moment)

Tumblekit unseathed his claws. 'ok' he mewed silently'this time i will not tumble!' he took two steps. three, four. suddenly he felt his paws give way and he tumbled from the den. "foxdung!" he hissed. he saw thornface on the ground. tumblekit seathed his claws and came running over. he looked at the she-cat laughing her face off, "what happened? whats so funny!?" he looked at the cat in concern, nudging him. tumblekit's blue eyes filled with anger, "were you laughing at him!?" he turned his attention toward Emberpaw

Timberpaw's tiny eyes squinted towards the sunlight once they caught a flicker of movement. He lay hidden in the apprentices' den, without much spirits to go out. But he had been there almost all morning and he couldn't procrastinate his awakening any longer. Relunctantly, he stood up, not completely sure as where he would go, but feeling confident. Blinded by the rays, the little tom stumbled on his walk and bumped with one of the cats he had seen earlier. His eyes rapidly adjusted to his outline and he recognized who it was.
'Tumblekit!' Timberpaw gasped and moved away. 'Sorry, I didn't see you..' An awkward silence followed once he found, not only Tumblekit, but another apprentice, Emberpaw. He curtly bowed at her, unsure of how to react infront of she-cats. Should he say something? No, better remain quiet. Should he approach nearer her? No, better stay still. What else could he do? Clueless, the small apprentice did nothing more but stare helplessly at her, half expecting that she could start conversation.
ooc; That was short... ]x

ooc: mine was worse XD Tumblekit fell on his bottom. It happened so fast he hadnt even noticed he had fallen over until timberpaw was apologozing. Standing up tumblekit mewed, "It is okay. I think i can find it in my heart to forgive you," he chuckled., "im very use to falling over."
he raised his head. the sky was a watery blue, as if someone had come by and taken waterpaints and painted the sky. the yellow bright sun stood out also. as if some one had made a bright yellow clay ball and smudged it on the painting. Then white fluffy clouds dappled the sky. they looked like pieces of cotton being slowly pulled by a string around the sky. tumblekit sighed. 'Some day' he silently mewed, 'i will find my father, my mother and they can tell me everything they know about the sky.' he shook himself out of it. 'but first i must become a warrior'
"Well i have nothing to do. question is what are you apprentices doing? Shouldnt you be training?"

Timberpaw nodded, relieved, but couldn't help feeling confused by Tumblekit's choice of words. He noticed the kit staring at the sky as the wind whisked the clouds away from the sun. He wondered what was on Tumblekit's mind in this moment by the way he gazed at them. Curiosity enthused in his mind for a moment, before Tumblekit asked a question he'd rather not answer.
'Um, yeah we should...' Timberpaw began, not sure how to continue. Frankly, he hadn't seen Froststar since his ceremony and they had never scheduled a training sesion. He shifted his weight, not really knowing how to reply. He eyed Emberpaw wistfully for a heartbeat before turning back to Tumblekit. 'Well, we're in some sort of break for the moment. Of course, after our vacation, we'll start training again' he finally said.

Silence. An empty feeling engulfed the little apprentice and her glazed eyes stared out into nothing. Did this have to come every time she was truly happy? The familiar yowls and screeches of pain were heard. It was unbearable, yet what would happen if she tried to break out of this nightmare? Would all the remaining memories of her sweet mother leave her grasp? Emberpaw could hear voices, two of which she could not identify, they seemed to be back in the real world, why couldn't they see what she did? Why couldn't they help her? Emberpaw reached her front left paw out to try and save her now-dying mother, but it didn't work. It had been that way ever since she began having these flashbacks.
Snap out of it, it's just a dream! Emberpaw's sane part of mine told her, and she listened. The apprentice blinked several times, and was now back to reality. She breathed in and out quickly, trying to catch her breath. Oh no! I hope they didn't see me... Emberpaw then realized who "they" were. Emberpaw and Tumblekit, possible Thornface, but she seemed too embarressed to pay attention to anything. Timberpaw, what did the she-cat think of this new apprentice? He seemed to have come from nowhere, though she had heard he was rejected from all the Clans. So ThunderClan accepted him. Emberpaw didn't like the strange silence that was upon everyone.
"Um, hi Timberpaw, Tumblekit." Emberpaw mewed rather hesitantly, noticing a strange, maybe confused look in Timberpaw's eyes.
ooc; poor timberpaw! xD -points to winter's first post in this thread- i started to laugh

Tumblekit's nose twitched. he smelled someone. Someone he recognized but was a stranger. The tangy scent started to flood his nose. the site of bloody claws entered his vision. A black tom entered his mind. along with a black shecat and a white tom. They only stared at him. a voice slowly and quietly whispered, 'Traitor' Tumblekit only stared wide eyed as he realized all carried the scent of shadowclan. 'Was this a Dream?' Tumblekit looked into the eyes of the young black tom. it carried hatred, sadness..confusion. tumblekit looked at the cats. "im not scared of you!" he yowled. his eyes flashing anger. The cats shook their heads. The older ones faded away. But the black tom remained. Hatred was covered with less understandment. He raised his dripping claws and whispred, 'claws'
Once reality Came back tumblekit noticed Emberpaw. He tapped her on the shoulder, "are you alright there?" He got up. "i would stay but..umm..err.." great. he forgot there would be no mother there to miss him! "i kinda have ta..erm..BYE!" he turned around and padded away. he had to find Froststar and tell her about the dream!

Timberkit smiled briefly at Emberpaw before turning away. He eyed Tumblekit curiously, bewildered by his abrupt... comma. He didn't understand what was going on in Tumblekit's mind or what he was talking about. But it didn't really matter now, he was gone. The apprentice had heard about Tumblekit's mother-less status and he sympathized with the poor kit. He never had a family he could be with and he could effortlessly imagine the anguish he felt. He hid it well though.
Now he had to face another problem. The awkwardness with Emberpaw. 'Hello' he greeted back. 'How is it going?' His weight shifted as he tried to move away.
ooc; x] Glad I made you happy Serene, hehe. Sorry about this post...

Tumblekit was acting rather odd, or so Emberpaw thought. She curiously stared at the kit for a moment, until he dashed off to get into some michief, probably. Emberpaw pitied the little kit, he was motherless, he had no family. Kind of like the she-cat herself, though she still had a father. Well, father was an overstatement of what her 'dad' was. It was an exaggeration. Emberpaw's father was in love with her sister, and he practically had Emberpaw brainwashed. But she couldn't think of anyone to ask for advice from. Lonlieness danced in Emberpaw's gaze for breif moment, she hoped Timberpaw didn't notice.
Did Timberpaw ever have a family? He must've been rejected, too. Poor Timberpaw, he was rejected by all the Clans. Emberpaw decided she'd try to befriend him, he seemed nice enough. "Okay, and you?" An awkward silence filled the air, again. The talkative Emberpaw hated it, and wanted to fill the air with something other than the ringing silence. "Have you made any friends yet? This seemed to be an adequate subject. Emberpaw didn't really have many friends, the drama with her father seemed to have cut her off from all the other apprentices' 'friend lists'. Even Fogheart, her own sister rejected her own friendship.
ooc; that's ok ^^ it's not that short. hehe xD this awkwardness between the two is funny. should they become friends?

It took a while for Timberpaw's brain to peruse Emberpaw's question. His brain gave him information and probes of topics no other apprentice his age could understand. But this question took him by surprise. He wasn't used with others asking him such things. And he liked that Emberpaw was actually curious to learn about him. Or at least, he thought she was curious; what else could have lead her to ask him a question of that magnitude? Maybe she just wanted to gossip. Whatever the reason was, it exhilarated Timberpaw. He had received a chance to talk to somebody and he wasn't going to ruin it. The small apprentice let a gust of air surge in his lungs as he prepared to speak.
'If you consider you my friend, then yes' he replied, his tail cringing. After his first answer, his brain began reeling with more responses. The Heraculean effort that took him to answer her first question loosened the rigid clutch his tongue was in. That could be good and bad thing, depending on how much his tongue untied. 'Of course, there's always Drizzlesong, she found me and lead me to the others. And Froststar, my mentor. She's really kind, you know? Or Lilywhisker, she was really nice. And then there was this fella called Scarletpaw. I have no idea what happened to him, but he was there the day they found me. I don't think he counts though. And some tom named Wolfhowl. I don't remember him very well...'
He kept babling, the words sprouting out of his mouth like steam from the ocean. Part of him began shuddering in apprehension, aware that he was making a fool of himself. But another part of him didn't care. He was happy to finally talk to somebody. No matter how insignificant, or vain, or futile were the things he said, Timberpaw felt good to starting to be... slackening.
ooc; Sure, it makes things funner =3

Emberpaw watched with fascination as Timberpaw seemed to have at least fifteen different thoughts running through his head. He seemed to think quite deeply about the question; which intrigued her because most felines would just reply with a simple 'yes'. Timberpaw filled his lungs with air before speaking, and a smile played on Emberpaw's muzzle.
"Ye--" she began to reply as he asked if she considered him her friend, but she was cut off by his sudden release of words. They kept spouting from him, causing Timberpaw to talk a lot longer than Emberpaw figured he would. He mentioned several cats; including Scarletpaw who slept near Emberpaw in her den. She knew him but not well enought to call him a 'friend' either. He began to realize that he was making a fool of himself, but Emberpaw didn't think he was being a 'fool'. She smirked, muffling laughter as it would hurt his feelings. It was funny to see him so excited, but hopefully his excitement would hide her's because she felt exactly how he appeared at the moment.
"Well I consider you my friend," she began, attempting to think of more friends but couldn't really come up with very many more. "I don't really have many 'friends'. I guess my sister, Fogheart, used to be but she didn't want it to be that way. So I'd consider you my first real friend. Unless, of course, you didn't want to be friends then I guess you wouldn't be my friend. We'd just be aquaintences..." The she-cat babbled, feeling a blush warming her cheeks as she realized how much she had just said. That was probably exactly how Timberpaw had felt when he realized how much he'd said at once. Emberpaw's lungs gasped for air and she sucked in as much air that would 'fit'.

Timberpaw was surprised that Emberpaw had actually paid attention during his infinite (and frankly, very futile) chatter so he smiled to himself when she began chattering himself. His internal smile became external when Emberpaw said she considered him his first friend, which was a lot to say, because he had never had a friend before. He beamed at the she-cat and his tiny and foul tail began twitching, which was a result of excitement. What was the last time he spoke to somebody his age? His brain took less than a second to review it. His brain was aberrantly fast, but one didn't need an unusually fast brain to answer that question. He had never spoken to somebody his age and he felt ecstatic that he finally had. But now that he had the opportunity, his senses fought hard to control his emotions. Don't ruin it. Don't be stupid. For once in your life, be cool! he thought to himself and heaved a sigh.
'I guess you are my official first friend, since Froststar and Drizzlesong are adult cats and they can't really have friends my age. I don't have much apprentice friends or kit friends because I kinda think the kits are scared of me and the apprentices usually feel awkward with me. Not that I blame them, many cats feel awkward with me because I'm a very unattractive cat so I've never had many friends, even when I have been in all four clans.'
But he knew he had said too much. He had said all his memoirs out loud and every word was piercing an abysmal pain in the pit of his stomach. He glared scattily at his feet without daring to look at Emberpaw. 'I'm sorry, I usually talk a lot when I'm... happy' he explained self consciously, not knowing how to vindicate himself properly, even though byzantine vocabulary began flowing in his mouth. But he knew it'd look weird to use those words, so he remained silent and patiently hoped Emberpaw would understand and that he hadn't made an immense fool of himself (he had made an enormous fool of himself, but that wasn't as big as immense).

(OOC: Yay! My first RP post here! -bounces-)
Snowtiger stretched, her muscles rippling underneath her pelt as she did so. She had chuckled at Thornface's expense. She could just hear the gossip now.
'A THUNDERCLAN CAT DIED FROM A TWIG ATTACK!!!' she could hear the other Clans caterwauling joyfully in cruel glee. StarClan knows Snowtiger would join them in embarassing Thornface. Anyone stupid enough to not notice a twig deserved to be taught a lesso--
Snowtiger's thoughts were cut off when Timberpaw and Emberpaw spoke to eachother. There goes Emberpaw again, babbling like some useless good-for-nothing-but-kitting queen. Snowtiger hated cats who couldn't keep their mouth shut. It just proved that they had poor self-control and would probably annoy the wrong cat one day, ending up lying in their own pool of blood.
Like Snowtiger. Snowtiger definately was not a cat you wanted to anger. She wasn't afraid to kill. Heh, she had even killed her own brother back when they were both apprentices, so that he wouldn't tell the Clans that he had discovered Snowtiger's plan to take over all four Clans.
But ThunderClan didn't know that. They didn't suspect anything. Nothing at all. Just as she had planned. They knew she was a little aggresive, yes, but they didn't suspect her of being disloyal at all, or anything of the sort. She was such a good actor. Snowtiger had blamed her brother's death on a loner whom she had been speaking to when he showed up.
Needless to say, the loner is now dead.
"I guess you are my official first friend, since Froststar and Drizzlesong are adult cats and they can't really have friends my age. I don't have much apprentice friends or kit friends because I kinda think the kits are scared of me and the apprentices usually feel awkward with me. Not that I blame them, many cats feel awkward with me because I'm a very unattractive cat so I've never had many friends, even when I have been in all four clans."
Snowtiger blinked and felt an unexpected rush of pity for the apprentice. Timberpaw didn't look unattractive! ...Not to her, anyway. To Snowtiger, he actually looked quite handsome... for an apprentice. His incredibly ugly (That being other's opinions, not hers) pelt and eyes looked rather intimidating to her. No doubt that it could send intruding loners/kittypets/rogues running. That was a trait that Snowtiger was attracted to. His small weak body was rather cute, like a kit that Snowtiger felt needed and deserved only the best care and attention. His eyes were, to her, a brilliant shade of copper-green that she had to gaze at for a moment to see, since they were always squinted in fear. It was a treat when she did see it, though.
Oh, how Snowtiger wanted dearly to just pounce on Timberpaw right here, right now and just snuggle him against her, purring loader than a Twoleg monster.
.......
Where in StarClan's name did those thoughts come from?! Snowtiger did NOT feel such weak emotions like pity! And she was NOT interested in toms! ...Especially not apprentice toms! She was supposed to rule all the Clans one day! She was getting completely off track! However, those thoughts were faint and in the back of Snowtiger's mind. She didn't realize that she was staring at the mottled apprentice adoringly... and longingly.
Something about Timberpaw just made Snowtiger act and think completely out of character, and she didn't know why.
(OOC(again ): I'mma just gonna wait 'til someone else posts before I post again... heheh. Snowtiger ish eviiiiiiillll. Though it seems she has a soft spot for Timberpaw already.... Snowtiger's reaction to her thoughts basically was 'OMFGWTF 0.e' lol)
